Five years on, Cross revisited his earlier work also entitled Hall's Wood (TC55), reinterpreting the scene with bold abstract shapes and a strong colour palette.
Exhibited at 'Tom Cross - Paintings from the Artist's Studio', Belgrave Gallery, St Ives, Cornwall, October 2023.
The work is now on display in the library at Falmouth University's Penryn Campus.
