Based on a gospel miracle wherby, according to differing accounts, Jesus resurrects, or heals, the dead or dying daughter of a local religious leader called Jairus. This is a separate gospel miracle to the Raising of Lazurus. Both miracles were depicted in Renaissance Art, such as The Raising of Jairus' Daughter by Paolo Veronese, 1546.
Completed during Cross' time at the Slade School of Art.
